Eisen and Rome provides a full range of settlement services for real estate transactions in DC and in Montgomery and Prince George's Counties (Maryland) ranging from individual sales to complex multi-million-dollar transactions. Settlements are handled for clients and as a neutral agent. The firm conducts settlements that typically total in the hundreds of millions of dollars per year.
Rick Eisen supervises the settlement staff. Pennie Taylor and Kim Lloyd handle single family house and individual condominium residential settlements. Gina Rhodes handles commercial settlements, which are all settlements that are not single-family house and individual condominium residential settlements. While not attorneys, Pennie Taylor has been working on settlements since 1984, Gina Rhodes has been doing so since 1995, and Kim Lloyd has worked at Eisen and Rome since 2012 after 22 years in the mortgage loan industry. Mr. Eisen is available whenever a legal issue arises that requires the involvement of an attorney.
In each sale transaction, a letter is sent to the buyer and seller that describes the settlement process, including the information that is required in order to complete settlement. Similarly, a letter is sent to the borrower for each refinance, construction, or equity loan settlement. The letter is customized to fit the specific type of transaction – DC or Maryland; residential or commercial; and whether Eisen and Rome is neutral or represents the buyer, borrower, or seller.
Parking is validated for settlement participants in the Atlantic Garage in the basement of One Thomas Circle NW.
